Ipswich Makerspace

What is a Makerspace?

A Makerspace (also known as a hackerspace, hacklab, hackspace or creative space) is a place where people come to collaborate, and collectively share knowledge and tools.

What kinds of tools?

It depends what people want, and what kinds of projects they are working on. Other hackspaces have tools such as laser cutters, 3d printers, lathes, milling machines, electronics, computers etc. Any specialist item can be accomodated, from sewing machines to gene splicing labs.

Is there a makerspace in Ipswich?

Makerspace is currently a regular event in Ipswich. We meet regularly at the Holy Trinity church hall, near the docks

How do I get involved?
